About Us

Holbrook High School is an 11-16 academy providing a high quality educational experience for students of all abilities which is easily accessible to families living in south Suffolk. The school serves a mainly rural catchment with a steadily increasing number of students coming from beyond the defined catchment area.

We are proud of our reputation as a caring and supportive academy in which students thrive and succeed with their learning in a positive and vibrant environemnt.

The Academy was pleased to announce its results for year 11 students reached 60% in the key measure of five A* - C including English and maths this year.

Every student's results are personal to them and for some their grades can represent a major triumph over years of coping with a learning difficulty. Their sense of achievement can be overwhelming. For others, their results can be equally impressive because they represent validation of the student's exceptional ability or verify the hard work and application of a highly motivated student. Every student's results are important to us.

League tables; love them or loathe them we have to be part of them. They can, of course, provide a very useful snap-shot of the success of a school but they will not tell you the full picture. Because every student is unique, every year group will have a balance of abilities and so there will always be some year on year variation with the overall results within GCSE subjects.

We are just as proud of the student who struggles to get a pass as we are of any who might achieve straight A* grades across all subjects. We are able to support every student to achieve to their full potential.
