Last day in New York and, with bags hurredly packed and safely stored at our hostel, the students turned on trip leader, Mr Hart, and demanded more shopping time. With the accompanying staff hardly putting up a fight there was nothing for it but to give in and let the students loose on Macy's, the world's biggest department store. I think Reuters reported an upsurge in the value of the US dollar that day!

With presents bought, it was time to return to JFK airport for our overnight flight home. Staff and students alike were exhausted but full of memories that will live with them forever.
